A third round of weekly grants totaling $626,500 for eight Cleveland-area nonprofit groups was announced April 10 by the Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund coalition.

"We kept in touch, and after that all finished, I decided not to stay in New Zealand. I just wanted to get back home."

A second round of weekly grants totaling $1.18 million for 17 Cleveland-area nonprofit groups was announced April 3 by the Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund coalition.

"And I was mentioning how I had this sort of dilemma where I was pursuing voice performance but also really interested in this other thing and thinking I might want to pursue that, but not sure what to do. And they were like you should just do it."

Events are being canceled or rescheduled left and right. Offices are closing, and people are working from home and sheltering in place. We caught up with five Cleveland organizations to see how the coronavirus crisis is affecting their efforts to serve the public.

"And if you’re by the ocean, I mentioned to my wife, it would be awesome to scuba dive, I always dreamed about that as a kid. And she said, why don't you?"
